About Me

With a doctorate in clinical psychology and over a decade of experience in the dynamic San Francisco Bay Area, I have had the privilege of being a professor at educational institutions, and coaching and training leaders from some of the world's most innovative and influential companies, including Airbnb, AllBirds, Twitter, and Spotify. My journey in public speaking has been marked by a commitment to fostering growth, resilience, and influential thinking among top executives and emerging leaders alike. ​

Clinical to Industry

Are you hoping to transition to the tech industry? I have spoken to hundreds of mental health clinicians who are either seeking a career shift or want to explore options after graduation.

I started making the shift myself over 10 years and, after repeated attempts, figured out more efficient and effective ways to do so.

Structure of the 4-week career coaching program called Tech Trek:

  1. Initial Assessment and Goal Setting:

    • Let's understand your background, skills, and aspirations.

    • Clarify career goals within the tech industry.

    • Identify potential obstacles or challenges in the transition process.

  2. Explore of Tech Industry Roles and Opportunities:

    • Research different roles within the tech sector that align with your skills and interests.

    • Explore various companies, their cultures, and the types of projects they undertake.

    • Assess the demand for specific skills and the potential for growth given current market trends.

  3. Skill Assessment and Development:

    • Evaluate your existing skill set and identify areas for enhancement or acquisition.

    • If applicable, recommendations for relevant online courses, certifications, or training programs to bridge any skill gaps.

    • Provide resources and guidance for building a portfolio or personal projects to showcase relevant skills to potential employers.

  4. Network and Job Search Strategies:

    • Develop a targeted networking strategy to connect with professionals already established in the tech industry.

    • Craft an effective resume and LinkedIn profile tailored to tech industry standards.

    • Prepare for common tech industry interview questions.

    • Explore alternative pathways into the tech industry, such as internships, apprenticeships, or freelance opportunities.

Throughout the coaching program, I will provide ongoing support, encouragement, and accountability to help you stay motivated and focused on this career transition goal. Additionally, each session will include time for reflection and adjustment based on your progress and feedback.

Pricing: $900 - $1,200 for 4 week program

*Note the pricing will be discussed in our initial consultation call as it is dependent on level of support requested.
